This post is intend for my students, that got some issue with there laptop using Intel HD 4000 / 4400 on 3DsMAX.
You should look at this workaround to solve that problem.
1. Close 3dsMAX, and search for 3dsmax.ini. You could find it under: « C:\Users\[YOURNAME]\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2013 – 64bit\ENU »
2.Open 3dsmax.ini and search for « [WindowState] ».
3.Then replace the 3 next line by those.
[WindowState]
GFXType=Software
GFXRenderer=SZB9.hdi
GFXDevice=GDI9.hdi
4.After you can restart 3dsMAX.
5.You will get a Popup window that will ask you to choose your graphic driver for the viewport.
6.Select OpenGL or Software for more compatibility (or another driver if you want to try).
